MRI uses remote sensing imaging spectrometry data to gather information for the
remote discrimination and mapping of a variety of land features. This technology
can be applied to map plant communities, develop spectral signatures for biological or chemical weapons, and model geologic formations for petroleum and precious metal exploration.
