Acoustic Product Development

When you are developing a new product or improving an existing one, it is important to consider the noise it creates. Loud or unpleasant noise can be harmful and affect the product's marketability. MRI engineers can measure the noise, determine the source, and develop alternatives for controlling it. We can improve your product by designing and fabricating innovative noise solutions.

MRI offers a wide range of acoustic capabilities. In our state-of-the-art facilities,
we can analyze your problem, develop a solution, and prove its effectiveness.

Our engineers also use some of the most sophisticated and innovative sound measurement systems available, including the Brüel & Kjaer Portable Pulse.
The B&K system easily handles octave band (1, 1/3, 1/10, 1/12, 1/24) and
Fourier analysis of noise profiles, presenting the profiles in graphical form for
quick interpretation and action.

In cases of vibration, MRI uses single- and triple-axis accelerometers to
determine how mechanical vibration is creating unwanted noise.
