Noise Abatement and Suppression

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has strict regulations regarding noise in the workplace, and MRI understands the impact noise can have on worker productivity and worker retention. We will help you assess your workplace and determine ways to improve the environment by reducing noise.

MRI offers a wide range of acoustic capabilities. In our state-of-the-art facilities,
we can analyze your problem, develop a solution, and prove its effectiveness.

In addition, MRI engineers use some of the most sophisticated and innovative sound measurement systems available, including the Brüel & Kzaer Portable Pulse. The B&K system easily handles octave band (1, 1/3, 1/10, 1/12, 1/24) and Fourier analysis of noise profiles, presenting the profiles in graphical form for quick interpretation and action.

In cases of vibration, MRI uses single- and triple-axis accelerometers to determine how mechanical vibration is creating unwanted noise.
