into the sampling and analysis of hundreds of thousands of samples. We have been directly involved in the development, validation, and promulgation of sampling and analytical methods. MRI is staffed with highly trained analysts prepared to analyze soil, water, biota, process, and consumer materials to meet your company needs. We are experienced in providing significant analytical methods development and validation. Our sampling and analysis services cover:

  • Air
  • Water
  • Solids
  • Biological
  • Other

Air Quality

MRI has broad experience in the assessment of air toxic emissions and controls. Our expertise covers:

  • Air toxics risk assessments
  • Emission inventories
  • Risk management prevention plans
  • Emergency release assessments
  • Title V HAPs permitting
  • SARA Title III data compilations

Real-time Monitoring of Hazardous Air Pollutants

MRI offers a systematic approach to the characterization of emissions from hazardous waste sites. Such an approach involves a combination of modeling and monitoring methods, developed from more than 20 years of experience assisting the EPA, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and industrial clients.

Areas of Expertise

  • Perimeter air sampling plan (PASP) development
  • Network design and implementation
  • QA/QC program development and documentation
  • Analytical support and computerized data reporting (HPLC, GC/MS, IC, SFE, LC/MS, and ICAP)
  • Meteorological monitoring and surveillance
  • Environmental impact/fate and transport analysis

MRI works closely with clients to perform ambient air monitoring for hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). Our scientists have performed monitoring at numerous Superfund sites around the country. We can provide program management, network design, on-site monitoring activities, analytical support, modeling, and risk assessment.
